An inquest into the death of a University of Northampton student killed by her father in a leisure centre shooting will open tomorrow.
Charlotte Hart is believed to have been murdered by her father Lance Hart, at Castle Sports Complex in Spalding, Lincolnshire, a week ago.
Her mother, Claire, 50, was also killed in the shooting before Mr Hart, 57, is then thought to have turned the gun on himself.
Charlotte, who was just 19, had been a promising midwifery student at the University of Northampton and was a keen lacrosse player.
The inquest into the three deaths is set to open at 9.30am tomorrow at the South Lincolnshire Coroner’s Office in Boston.
Lincolnshire Police has said the gunman did not hold a shotgun certificate or firearms licence.
Mary Huntley, Senior Lecturer in Midwifery at the University of Northampton paid tribute to student Charlotte last week.
He said: “Charlotte was lovely young woman, who’s quiet, friendly manner served her well with her academic studies at University and during her clinical placement with Kettering General Hospital. Charlotte was well liked and extremely hard working throughout her studies; as well as when she was playing for the University of Northampton Students’ Union Lacrosse team.
“Charlotte was a lovely person, who will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends at this difficult time.”
