Incidents of anti-social behaviour in the Wellingborough area dropped by 15 per cent during the past 12 months, with 650 fewer incidents.
Between April 1, 2012, and March 31 this year, the number of incidents fell to 3,748 from 4,398 during the same period the previous year.
Wellingborough safer community team sergeant Sharan Wildman said: “The reduction is encouraging but there are several areas in Wellingborough where anti-social behaviour, or the perception of anti-social behaviour, is a problem.
“We are currently rolling out a campaign to highlight the issue of graffiti and its links to anti-social behaviour.
“And we will be looking to work more closely within the town’s Community Safety Partnership to ensure these issues are effectively addressed.”
Anyone concerned about anti-social behaviour in the Wellingborough area can call the police on 101 or Wellingborough Council on 01933 229777.
