Hunt for boys after church hall vandalised

A group of five boys thought to be responsible for vandalising a church hall in Rushden are being sought by police.

The incident happened sometime between 3.15 and 3.30pm on Tuesday, August 27.

People playing bowls in the Rushden Independent Wesleyan Church Hall, Queen Street, Rushden, heard noises at the back of the hall and discovered five boys behind the fire doors.

There was extensive graffiti on the wall and fire door and a pipe had been ripped from the wall. The boys ran off.

They are described as five white boys, aged between 12 and 14 years and between 5ft and 5ft 7in.

One was wearing a mustard coloured T-shirt with a picture on and a light coloured baseball cap with dark patterns on. Another was wearing a black T-shirt and dark trousers.
