A man has been arrested after leaflets condemning homosexuality and non-Christian religions were distributed to homes around Rugby.

The 53-year-old, of Corby, was arrested on suspicion of stirring up racial hatred on the grounds of religion or sexual orientation.

The man is believed to have been arrested for similar offences last year.

Warwickshire Police are advising people not to share the leaflet on social media.

A spokesman said: “We would advise against this on the grounds that you could be committing an offence under section 29 of the Public Order Act 1986.”
