Boy stabbed in the back by youths in Rushden

A 15-year-old boy was stabbed in the back by a group of youths in Rushden on Sunday.

The boy was walking in the Chester Road and Spinney Road area with a friend at about 7.15pm on Sunday, January 25, when they were approached by a group of about three boys.

He was stabbed in the back twice by members of the group. His friend was also punched in the face.

The 15-year-old was taken to University Hospital Coventry with a collapsed lung. His condition is described as stable.
