Balaclava wearing burglars break into Northampton house and car but leave empty handed

Burglars wearing hooded tops and balaclava broke into a house and a car on Billing Road in Northampton.

Police investigating the incident say raiders targeted the home in the early hours of Monday, November 16, but nothing was taken.

A car parked at the back of the house, between the junctions of Alfred Street and Billing Road Cemetery, was also broken into and searched at the same time.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area on Monday morning.

The burglars are believed to have been two men in their early 20s, wearing hooded tops and balaclavas. One of them “walked with a limp”, said a police spokeswoman.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding it.
