An 18-year-old woman was verbally abused, had a drink poured on her head, had her hair pulled and was punched to the face in an attack at a Kettering nightclub in the early hours of Sunday, June 30.

Northamptonshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault at the Abacus nightclub in Dalkeith Place.

A spokesman for the force said the victim was attacked after she asked another woman to stop bumping into her on the dancefloor sometime between 1 and 1.30am.

She added: “The offender verbally abused the victim, poured a drink over her head, pulled her hair and then punched her, causing a black eye and bruising.”

The offender is described as a white woman, about 5ft 7in tall in heels.

She was wearing a loose, light blue, knee-length dress with long sleeves.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, should phone Northamptonshire Police on 101.
