A homebuilder in the county is taking part in a charity cricket match after helping level a club’s ground.
Redrow will be out to give Barton Seagrave Cricket Club a run for their money in a charity cricket match from 11am on Sunday, August 31.
Redrow have already helped raise funds for the club and Redrow’s charity of the year CLIC Sargent.
The club’s James Marriott said: “We were bowled over when Redrow offered to help us level our playing area by giving us excess soil from their site and so when we heard they had a charity appeal of their own we were happy to team up with them and hold a joint event. We will be using our share of the money raised to help improve the facilities at the club.”
Sales director Tonia Tyler added: “At Redrow we don’t just build homes, we want to play an active part in the communities in which we operate. We’re looking forward to taking on the challenge of the cricket match and regardless of the score the winners will be CLIC Sargent and the cricket club.”
Admission is free, with stalls and activities on the day. Proceeds will be shared between CLIC Sargent and the club.
