Crews called to fire at Wellingborough mill

Fire crews were called to a fire in a mill in Wellingborough this morning (Sunday, May 19).

Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the blaze at a flour millers just before 8.45am.

The fire at a heat treatment centre at Whitworth Brothers, based at Victoria Mills on London Road in the town, was believed to have started accidentally following a fault.

Two crews from Wellingborough used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
