The organisers of the Crazy Hats Walk are reminding everyone who took part to send in their sponsorship money, and thanking those who have done so already.
The walk, held in the pouring rain, attracted hundreds of people to Wicksteed Park and now the charity’s founder, Glennis Hooper, is asking them to send in their money so it can be given to Kettering and Northampton hospitals to help them improve their breast cancer services.
She said: “We have already received £26,000 so we want to thank everyone who has sent us their money, or called in to see us, and are reminding everyone else they’ve got until the end of the month to send it in.
“We are hoping to match last year’s total of £55,000 and would be absolutely delighted if we beat it. Everyday more money is coming in.
“Considering the atrocious weather, we had a fantastic turnout so hats off to everyone who took part.”
