Two business partners say they are excited to be setting up a new venture in Wellingborough.

Annette Waples and Ann Hawes opened The CraftWorks, which sells a range of items used in arts and crafts, in a special ceremony this morning.

The shop is in Nene Court, next to the town’s Embankment.

The duo are also arranging a variety of workshops for people who want to get involved.

“We are going to be running classes,” Annette said. “A lot of people are going back to the old crafts and a lot of people like handmade things.”

“It’s something that I have always wanted to do and we decided to do it together,” Ann added.

She also paid tribute to fellow shopkeepers in Nene Court, saying: “There are a lot of people with their own business (here). Everybody is really friendly.”
