A couple are celebrating after 60 years of being happily married.
Peter and Joyce Dolling, of Leys Avenue, Desborough, celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary yesterday, having married on March 29, 1952.
The two have lived in the county for the past 43 years.
Mr Dolling, 83, said: “We have gone through lots of changes together and we have had our ups and downs.
“I used to play the piano accordion in a dance band and played at a 21st birthday party, where I met Joyce.
“I was called up and had to go into the armed forces from 1946 to 1949. I was in Egypt but when I got back she was waiting for me and we got married.”
Mr and Mrs Dolling, 82, once ran a grocery shop together and enjoyed trips on their boat and in their caravan.
