Children’s book Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw was the most borrowed book in Northamptonshire libraries during 2012/14.

In fact, Jeff Kinney, author of the popular children’s series, had four books in the top five slots in the list, published today (Thursday, February 13).

Children’s books made up more than half of the top ten list.

James Patterson’s Guilty Wives was the eighth most borrowed book in the county during 2012/13, although the US thriller writer was the most borrowed author in the whole of the UK in the same period.
