A Kettering charity is celebrating after a ward councillor donated money which allowed it to upgrade its technology.

Eskkdail Street-based Central England People First, which helps people with learning difficulties, has bought a new printer following the donation from borough councillor Michael Brown.

The charity is mainly about advocacy, said Nikki Keating, a trustee of the 23-year-old charity. She added it was also a learning centre, which the new printer would help.

Cllr Brown said: “I was very happy to help contribute towards a new printer and am incredibly proud to have such great charities operating from within All Saints ward.”

The charity also holds drop-in coffee mornings from 10am every Tuesday, at which newcomers are welcome.
