A county councillor says he hopes to press Kettering Council to consult residents on a new permit parking scheme in the town.
Cllr Mick Scrimshaw says people living in Bowhill, off Northampton Road, will have to wait until at least December before a discussion about potential solutions to parking problems will take place.
He says those living in Bowhill have issues because of commuters parking before taking trains from Kettering station or using the hospital.
Cllr Scrimshaw said residents had been clear in asking for a consultation on permit parking. He added: “The people of Bowhill deserve better as this has been an on-going problem for years with no real attempts having been made to address it.”
