Could you re-home a hamster?

This is just one of 60 Syrian hamsters in need of a new home.

They were rescued by one of the volunteers at Animals in Need from a breeder who was closing down.

The animals are all quite young and would be better suited to adult homes as they are not well handled.

The animal charity, based at Pine Tree Farm in London Road, Little Irchester, is keen to re-home the hamsters as soon as possible so if you would like one of them or any of the other animals being cared for by the volunteers, call 01933 278080 or email admin@animals-in-need.org.

The charity is open between midday and 3pm Tuesday to Sunday.
