The county council has responded to a disabled boy’s plea to have a grit bin installed in his street.

Corey Haseley, 17, of Bibury Close, Wellingborough, who suffers from a rare life-limiting condition, complained after he couldn’t get out in the snow in his wheelchair and feared icy roads could prevent his access to emergency services.

A grit bin has been installed at the end of his street, but Corey has vowed to fight to get a bin installed closer to his home.
