The Corby Core theatre is surpassing all targets according to the latest audience numbers.
The theatre has reported that 32,353 people saw its shows in 2013-14, up from 27,166 last year. It also revealed that 16,520 children and young people took part in its creative projects and learning activities - a huge increase from 6,162 last year.
The Core also continued to offer access to the NAMT Real Discounts scheme with more than 3,000 young people registered to benefit from free and discounted tickets.
This year The Core has trained and supported 125 volunteers, including many young people, who committed 5,853 hours to the organisation. It is estimated The Core had a positive impact on the local economy worth £2,732,837. It continues to work with local schools including the Saturday Polish, Serbian, Latvian and Lithuanian schools.
Earlier this year, The Core invested in satellite technology allowing live broadcasts to be shown of plays, opera and ballet from the National Theatre in London, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, and the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow.
