Have your say

A little piece of Corby’s beautiful woodland could soon be sitting in your home.

A new shop selling products made from timber felled from the woods will open at East Carlton Country Park.

The Foxy Woodland Shop will sell firewood, kindling, wooden animals, walking sticks and garden implements such as dibbers and plant markers all handcrafted from trees around Corby.

It will also offer a range of educational and environmental products including wildlife books, identification sheets and specially-written educational activities.

The shop, in the Old Forge, will be officially opened by the Mayor of Corby, Councillor Judy Caine, accompanied by the Foxy Forester Mascot who will meet and greet visitors.

All profits made from the shop will go back into securing the future of all of Corby’s woodlands, ensuring long term sustainability.
