A Corby fashion store which opened last summer is to share its story in a new primetime television series which begins next week.
Pep&Co, in the Willow Place Shopping Centre, will feature in a new six-part series called Bargain Shop Wars, which begins on ITV1 on April 14 at 8.30pm.
The series will visit Corby and viewers have been told to expect to see plenty of familiar faces as the show goes behind the scenes as to how the retailer launched 50 stores in just over 50 days.
Staff and customers in Corby will be glued to the screen for each show, as the series will feature the people, places and faces that come together to launch in the highly competitive discount fashion market.
It will also look at the challenges faced by the start-up and how other high street retailers react.
Adrian Mountford, managing director, is looking forward to sharing Pep&Co with a wider audience.
He said: “In just over 50 days, we took on the challenge of opening 50 stores last summer in Scotland, England & Wales – Britain’s fastest scale-from-scratch retail launch.
“Corby was one of the select few locations to start our journey in as we felt it was the right place for us.
“We were delighted to throw open our doors to ITV, because we wanted the nation to have a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to bring high quality, low price family fashion to some of the country’s most loved towns.”
Pep&Co also has a store in Kettering’s Newlands Shopping Centre.
