Residents are invited to the Great Corby Warm Up event being held at Woodnewton Primary School on Wednesday, February 26.

Organised by Corby Council, it takes place from 3.30pm to 6.30pm at the school in Rowlett Road.

The free event aims to help improve insulation in non-traditional homes, such as those made from system built concrete, such as Wates, BISF, Easy Form, Unity, Wimpey No-Fines and No-Fines Envelope homes.

Corby Council’s lead member for environment, Cllr Paul Beattie, said: “With energy prices continuing to rise, this is a great opportunity for residents to improve their insulation absolutely free. We would encourage residents who live in non-traditional houses to either pop in to the Great Corby Warm Up event or contact the Warmer Corby Team for more information.”

Anyone who lives in a non-traditional home and thinks it could benefit from free external wall insulation is invited to go along.

Corby Council is working in partnership with Cosyseal Insulation to offer residents free external wall insulation and loft and cavity wall insulation as part of the Government’s Energy Company Obligation.

This is a 16-month project and The Great Corby Warm Up event is the first of many roadshows planned for the borough.
