Residents on the Kingswood estate, Corby, are invited to an event at the weekend to give their views on how £1m lotto cash should be spent.

The estate, along with Hazel Leys, has been awarded the money as part of the Big Lottery’s Big Local initiative.

Kingswood residents are invited to a Big Local lunch and polling day at the estate’s community centre, from 1pm until 4.30pm.

There will be free hot dogs and burgers for children and a buffet lunch for adults.

People will be asked what their priorities are for improving the area, through the Big Local scheme.

Corby MP Andy Sawford will be at the event along with representatives from Groundwork, Saxilby Olympic Boxing Club, Corby Sports Dimensions, Unltd Star People and Inspiring Neighbourhoods.

A similar event will be held for Hazel Leys estate residents on September 28, at Hazelwood Community Centre in Gainsborough Road.
