Corby mayor Judy Caine officially opened a new Age UK Northamptonshire charity shop and advice centre in the town centre.

The shop, in Corporation Street, was opened on Wednesday (January 22) and is Age UK’s 12th in the county.

As well as selling secondhand goods and products, the store will also contain a Citizens Advice Bureau hub offering help for a range of problems including debt, welfare benefits and housing, employment and consumer issues.

The shop will help raise funds for Age UK Northamptonshire, enabling it to continue caring for older people in the county.

Staff and volunteers will be happy to receive unwanted clothing, books and bric-a-brac.

Anyone interested in volunteering at the shop is asked to call 01604 611200.
