The Asda store in Corby is set to give the town’s Lakelands Hospice a cash boost.
On Friday and Saturday (March 22 and March 23) the store is holding the first-ever Asda Price Guarantee roadshow outside the Cube, in the town centre, from 9am until 5pm.
A Guess the Savings game will feature a host on a professionally designed stage, with groups of five challengers at a time shown a series of products. They will be asked to guess the savings made on those products at Asda.
The savings across the two days will be added up, multiplied and donated to Lakelands Hospice, in Butland Road, which receives no external funding from the Government or NHS and relies solely on fundraising to generate the £500,000 needed to keep it running every year.
Corby store manager, Gary Brown, said: “The roadshow is going to be a fun way to show our customers that we are serious about our price guarantee. “By being able to raise money for Lakelands Hospice at the same time, we can ensure that this saving also goes to a great cause, one which provides essential and first-class support to the people of Corby.”
