New equipment costing £84,000 has been bought to ensure Priors Hall golf course, Corby, is kept in excellent condition.

The money has been invested by Ruspro, which operates the club, owned by Corby Council.

The course will now benefit from a new triple deck rough mower, a new greens mower and five units for the fairway mower.

Leader of Corby Council, Cllr Tom Beattie, said: “We are very pleased to see that Ruspro’s investment into the club is going to further improve the conditions of the grounds and benefit all of those who play there. Priors Hall is a great golf course and the perfect way to spend time in the spring or summer.”

Tam McGurn, of Priors Hall Golf Club’s greens committee, said: “I am so impressed with the commitment to the golf course that I have already bought my new annual season ticket.”

The club has introduced a direct debit service on season tickets. To find out more visit www.priorshallgolfclub.com or call 01536 260756.
