A runner who is raising money for a nursery school in Africa has thanked his Corby company for donating £200 for the run.
Mark Mardlin, who works for Premier Roofing Systems in the Grove, is running the London 10K on Sunday, July 14, to benefit the Roots Nursery School Charity initiative, which helps a school in the Gambia.
He said: “I am so looking forward to Sunday – it’s going to be a good run from the charity’s point of view.”
Mark began the initiative after holidaying in the Gambia and being upset by the poverty and shoddy school facilities.
He added: “It feels good what we do for the school, and I get to see the benefit of it.”
