Dancers from Lodge Park Academy, Corby, put on the show of a lifetime, performing in front of a sell-out stadium at the Aviva Rugby Premiership Final at Twickenham.
The students were joined by Malcolm Arnold Academy dancers to perform to a crowd of 82,000 rugby fans, on one of the most important match days of the year.
They worked hard to perfect their routine, taking part in intensive training sessions with a professional choreographer. The group even rehearsed at Twickenham earlier in the day, to ensure that they were fully prepared for their big performance.
The academy was given the incredible opportunity by the Move It schools dance project, with travel and expenses subsidised by academy sponsor, the David Ross Education Trust.
Alison Hayes, associate principal at Lodge Park Academy, said: “The students put on an extremely impressive performance.
“It was a real honour to perform at such a huge, exciting event and they worked incredibly hard to ensure that they did a great job.
“Opportunities such as this really help to boost confidence, dedication and instill a sense of self-pride. They have certainly all made the academy very proud.”
