Hundreds of young dancers from around Corby are ready to take to the stage in the annual Shape Christmas dance show at The Core theatre.
The shows are being staged on Saturday (December 1) and Sunday (December 2), with performances at 1pm and 5pm on both days.
More than 400 dancers, from as young as four, will take part in the shows which will feature tap, ballet and modern dance routines inspired by Shrek the Musical, We Will Rock You and the X Factor.
The dancers have been brought together for the show through the weekly Shape dance classes held at West Glebe Pavilion, Lodge Park Sports Centre and Beanfield, Stephenson Way and Kingswood community centres.
Corby Council’s lead member for community, Cllr John McGhee, said: “The Shape Christmas Show is always one to watch. It amazes me every year to see just how many people throughout the borough are part of Shape dance classes and just how much talent they have.
“I would like to thank all of those who put many hours of hard work into making it such a colourful and exciting performance.
“It is brilliant to see Corby’s community on our very own stage, so if you haven’t got your ticket to watch them in action then make sure you pick one up soon.”
Tickets are £8 for adults and £7 for concessions and they can be obtained by telephoning the theatre on 01536 470470.
