A Corby Co-op store has donated a set of toys to Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance to be used to raise funds for the vital service.

The town centre food store handed over a set of Goodness Gang characters, which are used to promote healthy eating.

Angela Hayward, a volunteer with the air ambulance, said: “As a registered charity, receiving no Government funding, we depend on donations to help keep our air ambulances providing essential medical services. We will use these toys donated by Midlands Co-operative to raise funds.”

Store manager Sean Clothier said: “We’re pleased to be able to help out a local worthwhile charity with a set of the Goodness Gang characters.”
