Health champions have been appointed by Corby Council to advise staff and residents.

Their role is to promote health campaigns in the borough and direct people to all the resources Corby has to offer to help people enjoy a healthier lifestyle.

This month the health champions are promoting walking, providing information on how people can become walk leaders.

Corby Council’s lead member for community, Cllr John McGhee, said: “This is a great initiative that I am pleased to be on board with. It is important for staff and customers to know exactly where to go when seeking advice on a healthier lifestyle and now that we have our health champions in place, we hope people will gain the motivation and knowledge they need to become healthier and happier.”
