Corby residents have been invited to a public consultation to give their feedback on plans to build 4,000 houses in a new development to the west of the town.

The plans, promoted by both the Great Oakley and Rockingham Castle estates as well as housebuilders Barratt Developments and Taylor Wimpey, will also see new shops and investment in the roads.

The site has been identified to deliver a strategic new development as part of the North Northamptonshire Joint Core Strategy, the planning document which maps out growth in Corby, Wellingborough, Kettering and East Northamptonshire to 2031.

The team behind the plans is seeking local feedback and would like to encourage the community to attend public consultation events being held in Willow Place from 10am to 4pm on Friday, October 2, and from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, October 3, at Kingswood Secondary Academy.
