Community comes together for first ever fun day

A community on a new housing development in Corby have come together to hold their first ever fun day.

The event was the brainchild of Mike Haddock, a committee member of the Priors Hall Park residents association, who thought it was a great idea to bring the community closer together.

The fun day was officially started at 2pm today (Sunday May 26) by the Mayor of Corby Judy Caine, who was attending her first ever mayoral engagement since starting the role.

Mrs Caine said the fun day was a great idea and believed the fun day would be successful, and the first of many.

The fun day is being held on the Priors Hall Park gardens are there a number of activities on offer; including a cake competition, a bar, a bouncy castle for children, a face painting stall, and more.
