A roadshow is being held to showcase all the good work being done in Wellingborough.
The World of Wellingborough (WOW) roadshow will run from Tuesday, August 28, to Saturday, September 1.
Events on the first day will take place at Glamis Hall on the Queensway estate, the second at Finedon Rec and the third at the Hope Centre on the Hemmingwell estate, all from 11am to 3pm. Events on Friday, August 31, will take place at the Kingsway Centre, from 3pm to 7pm, and the roadshow will visit Wellingborough town centre on Saturday, September 1, from 3pm to 7pm.
WOW is being run by Wellingborough Community Safety Partnership. Attractions will include bouncy castles and face painting.
Police chief inspector for Wellingborough and East Northants, Nick Lyall, said the roadshow would promote the area’s good reductions in crime and anti-social behaviour in recent years. He said: “This is about showcasing the good work we have done in a fun way with lots of stuff going on.”
Wellingborough Council leader Paul Bell said: “If people realise just how much is being done, by a large number of different organisations, to keep their neighbourhoods clean and secure, we hope they will feel safer and be proud of where they live. We want the events to be really fun and get everyone involved, and we hope to see as many people as possible at each one.”
