Commuters and train passengers are being urged to make sure they check the revised festive train timetables before making travel arrangements during the Christmas period.
There are no major engineering works taking place on East Midlands Trains during Christmas and New Year but there will be some changes to the usual timetable on services to and from London as well as services in our area.
Services will stop running earlier than normal on Christmas Eve and no services will operate at all on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
In addition, engineering works on the West Coast mainline on December 27 and 28 mean East Midlands Trains services to and from London are likely to be busier than normal.
On Christmas Eve, the last train from London St Pancras will depart at 8.29pm (to Derby) with the last arrival into St Pancras at 8.33pm (from Sheffield).
On Saturday and Sunday, December 27 and 28, there will be a revised timetable in operation on the mainline route, with some journey times extended.
There will be no direct train services between Corby and London St Pancras and people making that journey will need to change at Kettering.
The normal East Midlands Trains timetable will resume on Friday, January 2.
