A charity founded in the memory of a little girl who died from a rare form of cancer plans to provide care packs for patients on the hospital ward where she was treated.
Chelsea’s Angels will send boxes of toiletries, snacks and activities to the Leicester Royal Infirmary young people’s ward.
The charity was formed in the name of three-year-old Chelsea Knighton, of Irthlingborough, who died from neuroblastoma in 2009. Her mum Emma Knighton said: “I wish I had something like that. The amount of times we got rushed in to hospital and forgot things.”
The charity’s co-founder, Michelle Tomkins, said: “It’s a way for us to give something back.”
To donate items for the boxes call Mrs Tomkins on 01933 273428 or Mrs Knighton on 01933 653436.
