Have your say

Sandy is desperate to find a new home.

The 18-month-old Spanish Podenco-cross is just one of many animals being looked after by volunteers at Animals in Need. The charity’s cattery is currently very busy, holding 40 cats, and they have so many on the waiting list that they need to re-home some before they can take any more in. The cats range from seven months to 13 years old, in a variety of breeds and colours. Annie Marriott from the charity, based in Little Irchester, said: “All of them are stunnning little characters patiently waiting for their new families to arrive.”

Every cat is fully vaccinated, neutered and ID chipped, as well as being worm and flea treated prior to re-homing. Each cat leaves the charity with four weeks’ free insurance cover. A home visit is always carried out and a donation required.
