Charity in plea for volunteers

The Citizens Advice Service at Kettering and Corby is appealing for volunteers.

A receptionist is needed at Kettering and more volunteers are needed at both offices.

The receptionist would have to be available from 9am until 2pm and training for the role will be given.

A spokesman for the service said: “Expenses are paid in arrears at the beginning of the month at 40p per mile or the bus ticket equivalent.

“The receptionist is integral to the service we deliver to the community and would be responsible for meeting and greeting clients and booking appointments, as well as liaising with advisers and carrying out general reception duties.

“We are also looking to recruit volunteers for our Corby and Kettering offices to be advisors, fundraisers, administration assistants and for IT support.”

Anyone interested in volunteering for any of the positions can find out more at an information event being held on Tuesday, July 31, from 10am until midday, at the service’s Kettering base at the borough council offices in Bowling Green Road, in the town.
