Northamptonshire Association for the Blind is appealing for volunteers to help run a weekly computer club for visually impaired people at Kettering Sight Centre.

The club has been run for a number of years, and has progressed so that learners now use laptops, tablets and smart phones and help people with online shopping and Skype among others.

Dawn Panter, from NAB, said: “As it has become popular and the needs of technology are changing, we would love to have some people be able to spend time one to one with someone who has computer knowledge.

“Often, people just need some assistance with navigating their tablet, uploading apps or learning to use Skype.

“We need volunteers who can commit to this weekly club and are patient. A knowledge of computers and the latest technology is essential.”
