East Northamptonshire Council is reminding residents of changes to bin collections and council office opening hours over Christmas and New Year.
Bin collections which would normally take place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, December 23, 24 and 25, will take place early on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday, December 21, 23 and 24 respectively.
Bin collections for Thursday, December 26, and Friday, December 27, as well as Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, January 1, 2 and 3, will be a day later than normal.
Council offices will close over the festive period, but people can still access services and pay bills at the council’s website 24 hours a day.
Council leader, Steven North, said: “You can access many of our council services, including planning applications and finding out about council tax and benefits on our website at www.east-northamptonshire.gov.uk There’s a wealth of information on the In My Area section from finding your nearest dentist to reporting a pothole. And you can still pay council bills on our 24 hour payment line on 01832 742259.
“If you have an urgent problem which can’t wait, you can call our out-of-hours service on 01832 733530.”
East Northamptonshire Council’s three Customer Service Centres will close for the Christmas and New Year holidays on Tuesday, December 24, and will re-open on Thursday, January 2.
Thrapston Customer Service Centre and council buildings on Cedar Drive will close at 5pm on Tuesday, December 24. It will re-open at 8.45am on Thursday, January 2.
Rushden Customer Service Centre on Newton Road will close at 4.30pm on Tuesday, December 24. It will re-open at 9am on Thursday, January 2.
Oundle Customer Service Centre at 4 New Street will close at 1pm on Tuesday, December 24. It will re-open at 10am on Thursday, January 2.
