Celebration of play at Corby park

Children are invited to celebrate National Play Day at an event at West Glebe Park, Corby.

From midday to 4pm on Wednesday, August 1, there will be a huge sand pit, face-painting, giant inflatables, arts activities and a water slide at the park.

Corby Council’s lead member for community, Cllr John McGhee, said: “Just like every school holiday, our aim is to make sure children aren’t bored, particularly in the summer time when they should be discovering the great outdoors and having fun with other children their age.

“National Play Day is the perfect way to do this and I hope to see West Glebe Park filled with youngsters having a great time come rain or shine.”

The event is free.
