ONE of the county’s most popular visitor attractions reopens its doors for 2012 this weekend.
The garden of Rockingham Castle in Corby will be the scene for a traditional Easter Egg hunt and Charles Dickens character quiz.
Dickens was a regular visit to the castle as a friend of the owners, the Watson family, during the 1800s and this is the anniversary of his 200th birthday.
Visitors can walk in the footsteps of the great man, viewing the rooms in which he wrote and performed some of his plays and set scenes for his novels.
Rockingham Castle grounds open at midday along with Walkers House Restaurant. The Castle opens at 1pm with last entry at 4.30pm.
