Ann Headland, an activities co-ordinator at the home, said staff and residents thought the Alzheimer’s Trust was a great charity to raise funds for because some of their residents suffer from the condition.

As well serving cake and tea, the home also ran a competition for residents to guess the correct weight of a cake with the winner getting to keep the cake.
