Here’s how to freeze some action!
Set your camera to its highest shutter speed (normally between 1/1000 and 1/8000) and use a fairly high iso speed and try some action freezing shots.
For a start try water – hosepipe, wet dog shaking (best if this is backlit) or get a container full of water and drop pebbles into it to get some nice splashes.
You will be amazed at the fantastic water patterns you can capture.
Be careful not to get your camera wet!
