Camera tips with Beck Photographic of Wellingborough

Have your say

Try this artistic shot.

Support your camera on a tripod or other support, and take an image of a person in a crowded place.

Use a shutter speed in the range of 1/8 to 1 second, and your smallest (biggest number) aperture.

Set your iso to enable a correct exposure with your lighting conditions.

Your subject must stay very still.

You will end up with your subject and the background sharply in focus, but the rest of the crowd will be blurred, making a very surreal image.

Depending on your camera and lens, you may not be able to do this on a very bright day without overexposing your image.
