Residents are invited to help clean up Beanfield estate in Corby.

On Wednesday, February 19, from 1pm until 4pm, Corby Council and the police are joining forces at another Big Pick event.

Volunteers are asked to meet at Beanfield Community Centre in Beanfield Avenue where they will be given all the equipment they will need to take part in the litterpick.

Leader of Corby Council, Cllr Tom Beattie, said: “Our Big Pick events have been very successful and well received by all involved.

“We have received tremendous backing from our communities with up to 45 members of the community volunteering. We hope that this support continues and we see many out in the latest Big Pick.

“As this litter pick falls during half term we hope that younger residents will feel encouraged to give up a couple of hours of their time to help.”

Volunteers are invited after to the community centre after the litterpick for hot soup and drinks and to chat to council and police representatives about any concerns they may have.
