Father-of-two Daniel Earl has contributed photographs for a calendar which aims to underline the natural beauty of a site planned for a waste recovery park.

Mr Earl, 38, of Gretton, takes his children, George, four, and Lily, six, walking in Brookfield Plantation, off Gretton Brook Road, Corby.

Developers Gretton Brook Estates want to turn the site into a waste recovery park.

Thirty copies of the calendar have been delivered to Corby Council, one for each councillor, before they make a decision on the plans.

Mr Earl said: “The calendar simply shows that the woodland is a natural asset for the area, which is full of wildlife. Once it is gone, it will be lost forever.

“I’m not against the scheme but there are brownfield sites around the town which could be used.

“The calendar shows the beauty of the area and the pictures say more than a thousand words.”
