By-election candidate rockets through park

Corby and East Northamptonshire by-election candidate Mr Mozzarella took to the skies to promote his campaign to become an MP.

The Don’t Cook Party candidate carried out the stunt while strapped to a jet pack in Coronation Park, Corby on Saturday, November 10.

The ‘Italian take-away chef’ said he’s fighting to “save the nation from boring celebrity chefs” and to “remove speed bumps in all takeaway hotspots in Corby”.

His campaign manager, Jonny Lockwood, said: “Hopefully he’s going to get a few votes. It’s a very interesting seat because it’s a barometer of how the nation is voting.”

Ross Kane, 31, of Corby, was among the onlookers in Coronation Park. He said: “I think it’s great promotion. He’s got my vote.”
