People in Wellingborough can see the latest Hollywood films at a venue on their doorstep.

A wide variety of art-house, world and blockbuster films are shown regularly in The Castle theatre’s main auditorium.

The venue’s film programme now includes longer runs of some films, ensuring films are screened closer to their release date. The venue has also introduced a popular Saturday night curry and film offer which combines a film ticket, a curry and a beer for £10.

This special offer is applicable for all Saturday evening films throughout the season, which includes The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn on February 4, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol on March 17 and Young Adult on April 14.

Other films set to be screened in April include J Edgar, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.

A Castle spokesman said: “Our cinema screenings are a popular feature of our programming, and it’s a genre that we continue to improve. Not only do we screen blockbuster and family films, but you can also see world film and art-house cinema here at The Castle that you don’t always find at multiplex cinemas.

“This great variety of films, the atmosphere of watching films in our theatre surroundings and the affordability of our tickets, are a huge selling point for our audience and something we look forward to seeing grow.”

Film listings can be found at www.thecastle.org.uk. Tickets are £5.50 for adults and £2.75 for children for certain films.
