A man who had a job working for one of the country’s best chefs gave it all up to become a cleaner.

After leaving catering college in Northampton, Sam Stawarz went to work for Rick Stein in Padstow but decided it wasn’t the life for him and moved back to Northampton.

Now Sam, 26, has been appointed commercial director of the UK’s leading domestic cleaning franchise, Time For You.

He said: “Working in the catering trade is not great for family life, and after I got married, and then became a dad, I decided I needed to do something different - and decided to become a cleaner.”

His mum and stepfather, Ruth and Freddie Rayner, launched the successful Time For You franchise in 2001. Sam said: “Mum and Freddie were not sure if getting involved with Time For You was the right thing for me, but I wanted to give it a go. I bought a franchise in Milton Keynes and another area in Warwick, and have loved doing it.”

Freddie said: “Sam is the future. We have a successful formula that has been very successful for us, but you have to embrace change.”
