About 50 jobs are being created in Corby as energy consultancy, Utility Bidder, moves to the area.

Corby is the perfect place to grow our business

After out-growing their original premises in Market Harborough, the company found a perfect, larger office located at the Pearson Academy on Bangrave Road in Corby and will be moving their business there in September.

With the move to Corby, the company is looking to double its staffing levels and increase the services they provide.

James Longley, managing director at Utility Bidder, said: “We are looking forward to another exciting chapter of Utility Bidder and the relocation reflects the rapid expansion of the business.

“It is such an exciting time and we are very much looking forward to getting more involved with the Corby community.

“We are very excited to be sponsoring local Steelmen, Corby Town FC, this season and enthusiastic about being part of the Corby business network.

“Corby is the perfect place for us to grow our business, it has a thriving community and we have no doubt about the potential that the borough possesses.”

Utility Bidder has worked closely with Corby Council and Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership which has provided support with the move, identifying premises and through Northamptonshire County Council’s LOCATE programme enabling the expansion that will bring recruitment opportunities in several departments.

Primarily call centre based, there are opportunities in sales, lead generation, the finance department and the administration department.

Leader of Corby Council, Cllr Tom Beattie, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Utility Bidder to Corby, it is exciting and a testament to Corby’s development when a company chooses to move to the borough and expand their company.

“Utility Bidder brings with it welcomed jobs and training and we wish them a very long and successful future here in Corby.”

Utility Bidder is holding an open evening on Wednesday, August 12, at the Pearson Academy from 6pm and is encouraging those interested in the new roles to come along.

Training is offered so no experience is necessary.
